The Amoral Fountain (1994)
Trial of the fabulist by his stylised animals
Hauts de Seine Park (ADIAM 92)
Trial of the fabulist by his stylised animals: eleven characters play eleven animals: first they play together to annoy their author, then they isolate themselves to fabulate in their corner. The fish imagines himself a mermaid, the owl confesses, the frog rationalises, the stag half-points, the wolf sanguinises, the crow hangs himself, the hare pianos, the dove plays the harp, the fox spies, the lion feels wild and the city rat flees. La Fontaine, like Aesop, moralizes to the hilt. His sentence is near. The animals rebel and accuse him wholesale. Their "master" will kill them. Is this the victory of morality over nature? Not so sure...

Doom? Return to normality? Mutations? A dialogue is woven with the spectator, who is invited to turn his neighbourhood, his street, into an extra-daily experience. "In Villeurbanne (...)
